We use dance and performing arts to empower, educate, and inspire children in foster care

Children in underserved communities deserve equal access to arts education and the performing arts.

We use dance and performing arts to transform the lives of children in foster care. We provide exclusive opportunities to learn dance as a way of being more expressive, socially, and academically engaged.

Fostering Dreams making a difference

Alta Loma Elementary partnered with Fostering Dreams for before-school enrichment. The teachers with Fostering Dreams were highly engaging. Our parents, students and teachers had positive feedback to share about Fostering Dreams and the creativity they provided students.
Parents reported that it helped to motivate their kids to get up for school. In fact, we found that 78% of the students in the program either improved or maintained their attendance rate.
We saw gains for our students in the chronic and basic attendance bands
